AWS Partner-Led Enterprise Support

AWS Partner-Led Support delivers AWS Enterprise Support through an authorized AWS partner. Enterprise Support is required for a cross-service AWS Private Pricing Agreement (PPA) or Enterprise Discount Program (EDP), and an authorized partner can satisfy that requirement. Part of our AWS managed service provider program.

PPA requirement

A PPA requires Enterprise Support. You choose who provides it.

A cross-service AWS Private Pricing Agreement requires Enterprise Support for its term. Confirm the clause with your AWS account team; an authorized partner can satisfy it without changing your PPA.

Direct from AWS

AWS provides Enterprise Support at its published rate, with a designated TAM and Enterprise response-time SLAs.

Through ASCENDING

The same AWS Enterprise Support plan at 30% off the published rate, with a designated TAM and hands-on-keyboard engineers.

The mechanics

Why Enterprise Support is priced on gross charges

A usage discount does not shrink this line item's basis — here's why, and how the ASCENDING rate changes it.

01 — Gross charges, not net

Support fees are calculated on gross charges

AWS calculates Enterprise Support fees on your gross monthly AWS charges — before any Private Pricing Agreement, Enterprise Discount Program, or other negotiated discount is applied. The support percentage is charged on that gross amount, so a usage discount does not lower the basis. Whether your contract discounts the support line itself is a negotiated term; confirm it with your AWS account team.

That's the gap ASCENDING closes. As an AWS-eligible partner, we deliver the identical Enterprise Support plan — same case severity levels, same tier structure, same SLAs — at 30% off that retail rate. Your PPA and existing AWS relationship are unchanged.

  • No account migration
  • PPA/EDP untouched

ASCENDING Enterprise Support70% of tiered rate

What's actually different

Same plan. Same SLAs. More hands.

The discount isn't a lesser version of Enterprise Support — it's the same plan, delivered by a team that can also execute, not just advise.

From quote to live coverage

The engagement starts with your last AWS invoice. These 3 steps take it from quote to 24x7 coverage.

  1. Assessment & quote. Share your recent AWS invoice. We confirm eligibility and your exact discounted rate.

  2. Transition. You sign on and your TAM and support team onboard. No AWS account migration required.

  3. Ongoing delivery. 24x7 support begins through the ASCENDING Support Center with AWS-matching SLAs, with hands-on-keyboard remediation available.

In practice

What hands-on-keyboard support looks like

For example: our team’s monitoring flags a security finding or a resource nearing capacity. Under AWS-direct Enterprise Support, the response is guidance — a recommendation for your team to implement. With ASCENDING, and only with your prior authorization scoped to specific accounts and actions, our on-call engineer makes the change directly, under the same case severity and response-time commitments as AWS Enterprise Support.

The same applies to FinOps: rather than a report identifying idle or oversized resources, our engineers implement the resizing or cleanup directly, using the free FinOps tooling included in the plan.

A critical scalability case reaches an ASCENDING engineer, who executes an AWS scaling change with customer permission and responds within the 15-minute critical SLA.

On Enterprise On-Ramp?

AWS is retiring Enterprise On-Ramp on January 1, 2027. During 2026, customers are automatically upgraded to Enterprise Support at renewal or in periodic batches, with a designated TAM, 15-minute critical response and a $5,000 monthly minimum.

You can take Enterprise Support through ASCENDING at 30% off the published rate. GovCloud keeps the existing plans. Read the AWS end of support notice.

FAQ

AWS Partner-Led Enterprise Support questions

Answers for AWS support buyers, including teams with a cross-service PPA or EDP.

Yes. A cross-service Private Pricing Agreement requires Enterprise Support for its term. An authorized AWS partner can provide partner-led Enterprise Support that satisfies it, with your PPA unchanged. Confirm the clause with your AWS account team.

Yes. ASCENDING is an authorized AWS partner and MSP that delivers AWS Enterprise Support with identical SLAs and a designated TAM, at 30% off AWS’s published rate.

ASCENDING’s Partner-Led Enterprise Support is available for accounts with at least $4,000 a month in AWS spend. The price is 30% off AWS’s Enterprise Support fee, including AWS’s $5,000 minimum, so $3,500 a month at the minimum. For example, at $100,000 a month in AWS charges, AWS’s fee is $10,000 and the ASCENDING rate is $7,000.

AWS discontinues Enterprise On-Ramp on January 1, 2027 and upgrades those customers to Enterprise Support through 2026. You can take the upgraded plan through ASCENDING instead. These retirements do not apply to AWS GovCloud (US).

Enterprise Support is billed monthly, just as it is today, with no long-term contract. ASCENDING’s discount is applied against AWS’s published retail rate, so your Enterprise Support cost reflects the reduced rate directly — no separate reimbursement or credit cycle to manage.

A 90-day minimum commitment, then month-to-month with no long-term lock-in.

No. Your AWS account, contracts, and any Private Pricing Agreement or Enterprise Discount Program commitments stay exactly as they are. This is a separate line item — it doesn’t touch your usage pricing or your relationship with your AWS account team.

Any hands-on-keyboard work happens only with your approval, case by case, and scoped to what you authorize. This is consistent with our AWS Managed Service Provider certification for operational and security practices.

There’s no migration. You keep your existing AWS accounts and support plan structure; ASCENDING becomes your Enterprise Support delivery partner, and future invoices reflect the discounted rate going forward.

Yes — the same response-time commitments as AWS Enterprise Support, including under-15-minute response for business-critical cases and the same case severity levels. Submit cases through the ASCENDING Support Center; our engineers escalate to AWS when needed.
